Neil Young is 75 today and to celebrate that fact, the great man is dropping a previously unreleased version of ‘The Losing End (When You’re On)’. Originally on the 1969 album, ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere’, the 75th birthday edition is available exclusively on https://neilyoungarchives.com/

Born in Toronto, Canada in 1945, Young’s musical career spans nearly 60 years. He’s been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not once but twice. Firstly as a solo artist and later as a member of Buffalo Springfield. He was one quarter of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and his solo work and with Crazy Horse saw him provide inspiration for earthy guitar-based musicians everywhere. Even Paul Mc Cartney cites Young as an influence.

Young’s 21 solo albums have gone gold or platinum. Bands and solo artists queue up to work with him. Notable amongst them, Pearl Jam, who released an album, ‘Mirror Ball’ with the Canadian rocker in 1995.

Still going strong at 75, the musical world salutes you, happy birthday Mr Young!
