The new trailer for Neil Young’s movie ‘Mountaintop’ has just been uploaded by the maestro himself in advance of the film’s release in cinemas around the world this week.
According to Noise11, ‘Mountaintop’ tells the story of how the Neil Young & Crazy Horse album ‘Colorado’ was made.
This latest album ‘Colorado’ is the first Crazy Horse album since 2012’s duel ‘Americana’ and ‘Psychedelic Pill’ albums.
The line-up for ‘Colorado’ includes Neil on lead vocals and guitar, Billy Talbot on bass, Ralph Molina on drums and Nils Lofgren on guitar.
The former guitarist Frank ‘Poncho’ Sampedro has retired to Hawaii since 2014. Fans will recall that Nils was a member of Crazy Horse in 1970-71, 1973 and since 2018.
He also featured on Neil’s solo albums ‘After The Gold Rush’ (1970), ‘Tonight’s The Night’ (1975) and ‘Trans’ (1982’.
He is a loyal player in the Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. He started playing with the E Street band in 1999 but previously played guitar with them from 1984 to 1989.
The ‘Colorado’ material has already been test-run at concerts, so it won’t be totally new to fans except for two songs that Young hasn’t performed in a concert yet.
