Not content with a new album alongside the release of his complete works online, Neil Young has announced a live concert on the same date of the album release.

As Marty and Conor mentioned in Seriously Addictive Music News Young’s album The Visitor will be released on Friday, December 1st.

To celebrate the release, Young will now perform a show streamed live from Canada on the same date. The show will start at 8pm Eastern Time (1am Irish Time) and will be accessible across the globe via CTV.ca

The Visitor is the second album that Young has made with Promise of the Real. The California-based band features Willie Nelson’s son, Lukas Nelson.

According to a press release, Young entered the studio when the U.S horizon was hanging over a new political landscape, with this in mind Young ‘was ready to take a musical journey on his new album…like he had never taken before…’

When he’d finished, Young knew he’d made his most ‘diverse album’ going all the way back to Harvest in 1972, when America was also in the throes of becoming unhinged, ‘Neil Young didn’t blink then, and he is not blinking now’.
