It appears that Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds have topped the best-selling vinyl list. With the recent surge in the popularity of vinyl, The Official Charts Company released their first ever vinyl chart back in April.
The most recent figures have been calculated and it seems that Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are dominating the vinyl charts. Not only did Noel claim the highest selling vinyl album, he also has the best-selling vinyl single of 2015 so far.
Noel Gallagher’s album Chasing Yesterday tops the vinyl album countdown, with three of his singles also claiming the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots on the vinyl singles chart. The tracks in order are ‘Riverman’,’The Ballad Of Mighty I’,’The Dying Of The Light’.
The second best-selling vinyl is a reissue, with Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti coming second in the running. Also in the top ten were The Stones Roses self-titled debut, Blur’s Magic Whip and 2013’s AM from The Arctic Monkeys.
Those in the best-selling vinyl singles chart (besides Noel Gallagher) include Blur, David Bowie, Paul Weller as well as Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars with ‘Uptown Funk’.
