The family of Nora Quoirin say the 15-year-old died in extremely complex circumstances and they’re hoping they will have more answers to their questions soon.
It’s also been confirmed no reward was paid in connection with the discovery of her body.
This is the first statement issued by the Quoirin family since the post-mortem results were released.
They say they’re struggling to understand the events of the last 10 days and the results have given some information that helps them to understand Nora’s cause of death.
However they say their beautiful innocent girl died in extremely complex circumstances and they’re hoping that soon they will have more answers to their many questions.
The family says while investigations are underway they continue to urge an end to public speculation.
The statement confirms no payments were made in connection with the discovery of her body.
The day before she was found, the family offered a €10,000+ reward for information on Nóra’s whereabouts.
Today the Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of State paid their respects to the family.
