Cancer Rates In Ireland Could Double

The number of cancer cases in Ireland could double by 2045 – if current rates continue.

According to a new report published today by the National Cancer Registry, the number of cases could reach 45,000 a year.

The report shows an increase in population and people getting older are behind the expected rise.

Lung, colon and bladder cancers cases could go up by over 100%.
