Ozzy Osbourne's final performance with Black Sabbath is set to be released in cinemas.

The heavy metal band's frontman died aged 76 in July last year, just two weeks after their Back to the Beginning farewell concert.

Black Sabbath's final performance will now be released in cinemas across the world and is set to premiere next month.

Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning is produced by Mercury Studios and captures the bands final performance with the original line-up.

The film is directed by Ben Wainwright-Pearce, whose credits include Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and George Michael: The Faith Tour. Tim van Someren serves as live concert director, while Jim Parsons, Jamie Silk and Dan Seliger are the producers.

According to Mercury Studios, the production was created specifically for the big screen, aiming to capture both the vast scale of the stadium show and the more intimate atmosphere of the final performance.

The confirmed that the film has been "engineered to deliver a fully immersive audio-visual experience, bringing audiences into the heart of the performance with unprecedented clarity and power".

Co-leads of Mercury Studio, Ken Danquah and Andrea Dunn said according to the BBC: "Ozzy Osbourne is one of the most influential figures in music history, and his final performance with Black Sabbath deserves to be seen on the biggest possible stage. Last year, we brought this legendary concert to fans across the globe, offering millions the chance to be there through an unprecedented livestream."

"This film is the next chapter, giving fans a new way to experience that night on the big screen. Back To The Beginning captures the scale of a stadium performance and the intimacy of a farewell, crafted specifically for the cinema screen," the statement continues.
