Radio Nova’s Programme Director, Colm Hayes, had the unique opportunity to catch up with the legendary Steve Averill.
Steve and his company are the designers behind every U2 album cover you have ever seen!
Steve was also a member of Radiators From Space and was responsible for coming up with the name U2.
In the interview he reveals the process of designing the album covers and the covers that nearly didn’t happen.
“It was amazing to find out how those iconic album covers came about. It seems like a very labour intensive process,” Colm said.
“It was a really interesting conversation.”
