Queen Drummer Roger Taylor Announces 2021 Solo Tour In UK

Queen’s Roger Taylor has announced a UK tour for this autumn.

The tour is to kick off in Newcastle’s O2 Academy, before concluding in London’s 02 Shepard’s Bush Empire on October 22.

Pre-sale of tickets for the tour starts on Tuseday June 8. You can find out more here.

Fans who preorder via Taylor’s website before 4pm BST on Monday 7 June, will also get advanced and early access to presale tickets.

Taylor is expected to released his sixth solo album “Outsider” on October 1. He is also expected to play parts of this album during this 14 day tour.

Last month, Queen also celebrated the 40th anniversary of the release of their “Greatest Hits” album from 1981. 

To mark this occasion, the album is being rereleased in this cassette version. It will be available globally on July 2.

Releasing a statement, the band also said that a slipcased CD, along with a clear plastic cassette will be available for anyone to purchase.

A number of variants will be also available on the band’s website. These variants include:

  • A Collector’s Edition CD With Exclusive Slipcase Cover signed by Brian May and Roger Taylor, bundled with all 4 band member colour cassettes and a Greatest Hits gold plated badge (limited to 1000 signed copies, but already sold out)

Speaking of Queen, the band fronted by Adam Lambert have also added an extra show date to their Rhapsody UK & European Tour which is now set for 2022, having been postponed twice due to the pandemic.
