Steve Downes, host of The Classics, is a radio industry veteran with nearly 30 years experience across the United States and internationally.

He has also spent 10 years hosting the American nationally syndicated Rockline and was heard on the top rock stations in Los Angeles before arriving in Chicago eventually holding down morning show duties at the huge successful  97.1 FM The Drive.

Downes also voiced the character “Master Chief” for Microsoft’s blockbuster action video games in the Halo series.
