The Who have recently released a new teaser for their upcoming concert film which shows the band playing ‘Baba O’Riley’. Their upcoming movie is called The Who: Live in Hyde Park.
It sees the band as they performed at the renowned London venue earlier this year as part of their 50th anniversary farewell tour. It was the band’s final UK concert appearance as they recently stated that this is more than likely “the last time”. The film is set to screen in cinemas worldwide on October 7th.
The Who recently announced that they had to postpone their current US tour due to Roger Daltry’s illness. The frontman was diagnosed with a bout of viral meningitis.
A statement from Who band member Pete Townshend read “We are rescheduling all the shows for next Spring 2016” adding “We apologise to all our fans who have supported us in the last 50 years. Once Roger is completely well we will come back stronger than ever and Roger and I will give you a show to remember.”
The recent postponement of dates in the US affected almost 30 shows during the winter months. However they assured everyone that tickets for the original dates can be used for the new shows.
