Ringo Starr has cancelled all remaining tour dates for this year due to illness.
Former Beatles drummer Starr, was forced to call off performances at Philadelphia’s TD Pavilion at the Mann yesterday (September 24), and Radio City Music Hall in New York City today (September 25).
Ringo Starr had announced these dates with his All Starr Band back in April. The line up includes: Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Edgar Winter, Gregg Bissonette and Hamish Stuart.
The band had previously released their new EP, Crooked Boy for Record Store Day. A digital edition had arrived on April 26. More on this from Nova here.
Ringo Starr Cancels Remaining Shows
However, Starr was forced to pull the plug on the remaining tour dates for this year, with a representative for the musician releasing this statement.
They said: “Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting a doctor he was advised to cancel these two remaining shows and get rest”.
Fans who purchased tickets for these shows, will be informed via email that they will be refunded.
The post concluded: “As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them soon”.
Starting this tour on September 7, Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band had performed 10 dates, before falling ill.
Earlier this Summer, Ringo Starr had also claimed that The Beatles would have made less records had it not been for Paul McCartney. More on this from Nova here.
