The Scottish singer announced a huge run of shows for next year, which will see him perform in North American in February and March.

Taking to Instagram, Stewart revealed that these major shows will be the last set of major gigs he will perform in his career, while insisting that he has no plans to retire.

“This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire”, Stewart stated.

The singer: “I love what I do, and I do what I love. I’m fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 meters in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79″.

“I’d like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next – smaller venues and more intimacy. But then again, I may not..”. See the post in full here.

Stewart Postpones Shows Due To Covid-19

Back in August, Rod Stewart was forced to pull the plug on several shows, due to his Covid-19 diagnosis.

The shows affected were due to take place in Nevada and California in that month.

At the time, Stewart said he was “absolutely gutted” to call off this show, telling his fans that he is “desperately sorry”.

“Most people can work with strep throat but obviously not me”, Stewart said. “I’m absolutely gutted. I’ve been looking forward to this concert for so long”.

“My deepest regrets for any inconvenience this has caused. Thankfully we’ll now be returning in 2025 and I hope to see you all there”.
