The Rolling Stones To Release Huge 60’s Box Set

The Rolling Stones are to release a comprehensive box-set packed with content from the 60’s this September.

The Rolling Stones In Mono will cover their 1960 U.K. and U.S. releases including Let It Bleed plus B-side singles and non album once off tracks.

The complete box set will host a whooping 186 songs recorded in mono with 56 being made exclusively mono unlike their original stereo release. Music critic, David Fricke has written an essay for the project to be included alongside a 48 page picture book with rare photography from Terry O’Neill.

The sleeve note reads : “The albums from the first decade of history and mayhem have been newly remastered with unprecedented fidelity and revelatory detail from original mono sources”, Team Rock reports.

The box set will be available in various formats –  either 15 CDs, 16 vinyl LPs or digitally.

The Grammy winning engineer Bob Ludwig, recreated the mono recordings at Abbey Road Studios.
