The Russian embassy in London has requested a meeting with the UK Foreign Secretary over the Salisbury nerve agent attack. They want to discuss the investigation with Boris Johnson as the condition of Sergei Skripal and his daughter improves.

Doctors say the former Russian spy’s now conscious and speaking with both ‘responding well to treatment’. Sergei Skripal’s said to be ‘improving rapidly’ while Yulia’s said her ‘strength is growing daily’.

The recovery of Skrepal and his daughter raises hopes they may hold vital clues for investigators about the nerve agent attack in Salisbury. Former UK special advisor, Giles Kenningham, has warned the Russians will find a way to get their own back as the row between the UK and Russia continues.
