Gardaí are investigating all circumstances as a body of a man was discovered outside a Luas stop on Ranelagh Road in the early hours.

At approximately 4.40am, a 22-year-old was found unresponsive with a head injury, and was subsequently taken to St. James Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The scene is currently preserved pending a technical examination while the coroner has also been notified.

A review of local CCTV footage, coupling with the results of a post-mortem examination is expected to determine the course of the Garda investigation.

The news comes following the discovery of another 22-year-old male, whose body was found in Lucan yesterday afternoon with suspected gun shot wounds in an unrelated incident.
