What do 4 Non Blondes and Gangnam Style have in common? They’re both in the 1 billion club on YouTube.
4 Non Blondes released their iconic hit ‘What’s Up’ 28 years ago. The music video sees the band perform from a living room with scenes of amusement parks, skateboarders, people enjoying swings and slides in a park. It’s people enjoying themselves while also being stuck inside.
We’re not saying 4 Non Blondes predicted a pandemic that would require people staying at home but the similarities are eerily on point for what we’re all going through right now.
The song is a classic and you may be forgiven for forgetting about it. You can check out it below and it offers some great 90s nostalgia, when things we’re a lot better.
In other Seriously Addictive Music News, Crowded House have announced their first new studio album in more than a decade.
The band from down under have had hits in the 80s, 90s and in modern times. Their new album is entitled ‘Dreamers Are Waiting’. They’ve just released their first single from it and the video is definitely dreamlike.
Called ‘To The Island’, we see the band traverse along on what looks like Auckland’s west coast before they travel to a secret island for a band party. At one point, frontman Neil Finn is refused access to the party by a bouncer.
The video is a great watch for those suffering from wanderlust in these trying times. The new single, which you can check out below, is a soft, catchy and melodic tune that will make you dream of future holidays.
‘Dreamers Are Waiting’ is due to be released on June 4 and is available to pre-order here.
