Sting is to roll out a virtual solo concert contest for one lucky fan to coincide with the release of his upcoming Duets collection. Duets is to be released on March 19.

The album from Sting will include collaborations with Mary J Blige, Eric Clapton, Annie Lennox and Herbie Hancock.

SOS to the world

A message was also posted on the singer’s official website.

The statement read, “To celebrate the release of the new album Duets, you could win the opportunity to receive a virtual, solo performance from Sting — filmed especially for this competition — along with a personalized shout out from Sting himself!“.

They also added, “To enter the competition, order any format of Duets (CD / Vinyl) from the official store before 3 pm on Thursday, March 25th. This is the ultimate keepsake to commemorate this 17-song collection, featuring many of Sting’s most beloved collaborations through the years”.

More from Sting

We also reported last week of the former Police star’s collaboration with Gary Barlow on Barlow’s Crooners video session.

Gary Barlow began recording these sessions during the first UK Lockdown last year.  Other guests have previously included Boy George, Rod Stewert as well as former Take That star Robbie Williams.

The pair covered the track “Tempted” by Squeze from 1981. You can catch that collaboration and more here.

Gary Barlow also wrote, “My guest on #TheCroonerSessions today is the amazing Sting. Can’t thank you enough for doing this sir. It appears we have a mutual appreciation for Squeeze”.
