Strong winds and possible power losses are expected when Storm Hannah reaches Ireland on Friday.

It’s been named by Met Eireann, which has issued a status orange warning for Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.

Gusts will reach up to 130 kilometres an hour in those areas.

There’s also a status yellow alert for Connacht, the north-west and parts of the Midlands and south Leinster.
