On the anniversary of The Lizard King, it’s the news Doors’ fans have been hoping for.
42 years on from Jim Morrison’s untimely death, the surviving half of The Doors say they will reunite to remember the band’s Ray Manzarek, who passed away earlier this year from cancer at the age of 74.
Doors’ guitarist Robby Krieger confirmed the news to Rolling Stone magazine, where he said teaming up with John Densmore will “either be the start or end of it”.
The drummer had been involved in a complicated legal battle with the rest of the band over the use of The Doors’ name.
Let’s hope the Densmore and Krieger can break on through their difficulties.
The reunion is said to be happening later this year.
