Singer says Sambora is "still a member of the band"

Bon Jovi addressed the question of Richie Sambora during a talk with TV host Ellen on April 23.

When asked about Sambora's status within the band, Bon Jovi hesitantly replied with "Okay...well...all I can say is that, honest to God, it’s a personal matter, but we love him very much and he’s absolutely still a member of the band.”

The frontman was also quizzed on the band's 30 year history and their ongoing success. Describing himself as "blessed" to have been in the business for so many years. "We like each other, I think that was really the key," he said. "We all had to have a lot of give and take, you had to go through some ups and downs. In the big picture you had to really like each other so you could go to work.”

Bon Jovi took time to promote the band's new app, which aims to help re-embrace innovative album artwork.

You can see a clip from his interview below, along with his live performance of "Who Says You Can't Go Home."
