Temporary speed limits of 30km/h are set to be introduced across Dublin city as part of the council’s response to the Covid-19 crisis.

Dublin City Council officials said it’s to cater for social distancing due to the increased numbers of pedestrians and cyclists.

The temporary measures will be discussed by the Transport committee today.

The 30km/h speed limit will include the Royal and Grand Canals, Rathmines, Ranelagh, Harold’s Cross and Donnybrook Roads on the southside and Phibsborough Road, Dorset Street, Manor Street and Gardiner Street on the northside.
