The Killers have returned with a powerful anti-Trump statement with the new video ‘Land Of The Free’ directed by Spike Lee.
The Black Panther director shot emotional footage of migrants at the Mexico border. The Killers say they gave Spike Lee full creative control and he made the video over a couple of weeks toward the end of 2018.
Lee travelled to the U.S./Mexico border to shoot the footage of migrants’ families as they journeyed towards the US. The video is available below.
The anthem was laid down at their own Battle Born Studios and produced by Jacknife Lee. Gospel vocals were contributed by Lynn Mabry, Dorian Holley, Will Wheaton, Sherree Patrice Brown, Akasha Mabry and Killers’ touring vocalists Amanda Brown, Danielle René Withers and Erica Canales.
The track is an emotive reaction to the present events under Donald Trump’s administration and US immigration policy.
