The Workman’s Club, an iconic spot for Dublin nightlife, has announced the opening of The Cellar, a brand new underground venue that will lay host to live music and entertainment directly underneath the nightclub.

Plans for the new space include a new stage as well as a high end sound system and a brand new bar.

The Workman’s Club has advertised the new venue as a “musical oasis” promising a ten-night line up of Irish musical talent to celebrate the venue’s grand opening.

Mango X MathMan will take the stage on opening night, Friday October 22nd, to launch their brand new single Heartbreaks & Promises.

Other artists who will perform at the venue in its first ten nights include Shiv, Efé, Negro Impacto, Bricknasty, Strange Boy, The X Collective, Why-Axis, and more.

Following their recent appearance on the US late-night program The Late Late Show with James Corden, Dublin band Pillow Queens will take the stage at The Cellar on Thursday, October 28th.

The ten-night long run of gigs will draw to a close on Halloween night with a performance from THUMPER.

Announcing the news, club managers said: “It gives us the opportunity to put on even more live music – and let’s be honest. We need double the live music these days, we’ve got lots of catching up to do.

“We have been beavering away behind the scenes to bring you some of the finest musical talent our island has to offer.”
