Tool’s Album Looks Set To Knock Taylor Swift Off Number 1 Spot!

A few days ago, Taylor Swift’s new record Lover bagged #1 on the Billboard album charts. It was Swift’s sixth number 1 album.

Backed by a huge marketing campaign, Lover secured the biggest sales week of any album… since her last album reputation was released back in 2017.

It was expected that the pop singer will hold onto the #1 position for at least another week or two, that is until Tool dropped their first, highly anticipated album in 13 years, ‘Fear Inoculum’.

Now poor Swifty is fighting a battle with a prog-metal band that most of her fans have never even heard of.

According to Junkee, Tool’s Fear Inoculum is currently bagging huge numbers in its first week, and according to Forbes, it’s predicted to secure album sales of up to 300,000 in the US.

That would place it easily in the #1 position past Lover, which is anticipating record sales of 260,000 in its second week.

Junkee reports that Fear Inoculum is already ahead of Lover on the iTunes album charts in Australia and the States, with Lana Del Rey’s Norman Fucking Rockwell! third place.

Swift fans, as one would expect, are like totally freaking out! So much so, they’ve sent a rallying cry out to keep streaming Swift’s record to prevent the rockers from going to number 1.

Hehehe \m/
