There has been some reports in the media recently regarding the release of U2’s forthcoming album that was due to be released this Summer, after being pushed back from a Spring release date.
However recent reports have claimed that the new album was now due to for release in 2015. According to Billboard magazine a report saying “U2 are reportedly delaying the release of their new album until 2015 so they can schedule new recording sessions with producers Ryan Tedder and Paul Epworth”.
However those reports are now being disputed by a rep of the band saying that the album is still on track to be released this year. The rep has said via the Guardian:
“U2’s album is planned for this year [and] is still on track and touring plans haven’t been confirmed yet”.
So the confusion remains. There is still no definitive answer as of yet as to the validity of either story that has been circulating recently. As the old adage goes, only time will tell.
