Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong, only days after teasing his new band called the Longshot, took the stage with his latest lineup at Oakland’s 1-2-3-4 Go! Records Last Friday the 13th April. Fan footage is available to watch below.

The show comes on the heels of the Longshot’s debut self-titled EP. The record made its way to stores and streaming platforms last week. Tracks from that release including ‘Taxi Driver,’ ‘Chasing a Ghost,’ and ‘Love Is for Losers’, made their way into the set list, along with a Green Day tune and a cover of David Bowie’s ‘Ziggy Stardust.’

As had been reported, the Longshot announced their entrance to the world via Instagram. The band’s profile promises that a full-length album entitled Love Is for Losers is ‘coming eventually sooner or later. Probably sooner.’

The names of the other band members were kept a secret before the Oakland gig. However, those who took the stage with Armstrong on April 13th included Green Day touring guitarist Jeff Matika on bass and backing vocals, as well as guitarist Kevin Preston and drummer David S. Field.
