The Who have kicked off their ‘Moving On! Tour’, a 25-date stint which will see Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend perform with a full orchestra, with Liam Gallagher, Reignwolf, and more as support.
As amazing as the tour sounds there’s one burning issue…literally. CoS reports that On The Who’s last world tour, it became apparent that Daltrey is very allergic to weed smoke. A whiff of it causes his voice to seize up.
The vocalist nearly pulled a gig half-way through a show in Long Island on that tour after the smoke became too overwhelming. Now, Daltrey once again has had an encounter with Mary Jane on The Who’s tour opener in New York on Monday night.
Daltrey scolded those for blazing up:
“All the ones smoking grass down in the front there, I’m totally allergic to it,” “I’m not kidding, whoever it is down there, you fucked my night and you made me really … I’m allergic to that shit and my voice just goes [slurps]. So fuck you!”
