A busker delivered a rendition of classic Red Hot Chili Peppers’ classic ‘Otherside’, unaware that the band’s drummer was watching!

This talented musician whose name is Armond Davis was performing this track on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade, in a video which was viewed more than 64 million times on TikTok.

Unbeknownst to him, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith was sitting opposite him as he jammed away.

The video which you can check out below, was captioned by the person who wrote:  “Who wants to tell him?”.

They also added the description: “Imagine shooting hoops in front of Michael Jordan and not even realising it?”.

“completely surreal”

Davis later shared this video via his own TikTok page, admitting that he was completely unaware that Chad Smith was watching him.

He wrote: “Yesterday, I played ‘Otherside’ by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and halfway through, I noticed someone really vibing which isn’t unusual,”.

“But when I finished, a few people told me I’d just played for Chad Smith, the drummer of RHCP. Hearing him say I sounded good on a track he’s known for? Completely surreal. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next!”.
