A new sneak peek video from the Bohemian Rhapsody project has provided a telling account of how the cast was mentored by Brian May and Roger Taylor. That’s as the actors got ready to give Queen the big screen once over.

Due out for general release next Wednesday, October 24th, The Queen biopic recounts the tale of Freddie Mercury’s stellar rise to iconic status. As well as this the film follows the group’s journey to their now revered Live Aid show in 1985.

In a new promo clip, Rami Malek shows the pressure of embodying Freddie Mercury, while Brian May’s character played by Gwilym Lee and Ben Hardy who plays Roger Taylor discuss how they hung out with the Queen legends before their portrayal of the musicians.

The clip also shows guitarist Brian May discussing how he gave guitar lessons to Lee, “I find myself looking at the edits and I do kind of believe that it’s me!”, May says of Lee’s performance.
In the clip, Lee also confesses, “I played a little bit of guitar before, but nothing on this level”.
