Vampire Weekend are no strangers to impromptu live covers and at a recent show, they treated a live audience to Crowded House‘s ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’.
The New York band covered the 1986 hit during a show in Cleveland last Friday and it can be viewed in full below. The performance of the classic song came during the encore.
However, as the NME observes, it wasn’t clear if lead singer Ezra Koenig was adhering to his recent policy of only doing requests from people wearing bucket hats!
The live cover is a pretty good rendition of the Australian band’s classic track.
The popster’s tour for their critically aclaimed 2019 album ‘Father Of The Bride‘ will continue in the US, before Vampire Weekend return to Europe for a slot at Glastonbury 2019.
