When the boy was getting on his train, the thugs jumped onto the carriage behind to follow him.

According to Dublin Live, when the boy got off the Dart at Glenageary Station to go home the gang attacked.

Luckily, a lady happened to be driving past and stopped, shouting for the attackers to stop. Then the gang ran off.
