Thank you for your email. You will be contacted regarding your complaint by Radio Nova within 21 days of having received it. If any member of the public is of the opinion that a programme or segment of a programme broadcast on our station has breached a provision of the Broadcasting Act 2009, as amended by the Online Safety and Media Regulation Act 2022, or failed to comply with a provision of the BAI Codes and is not satisfied with the station’s reply, they are entitled to submit their complaint to Coimisiún na Meán. This should be done within 14 days following the time limit for the station’s response. Information on codes and on Coimisiún na Meán complaints procedure can be found on the Coimisiún na Meán website

Where a complaint is made to Coimisiún na Meán under subsection (1) and—
(a) a person employed by the broadcaster concerned in the making of any programme the subject of the complaint,
(b) if the making of any programme the subject of the complaint was commissioned by the broadcaster concerned,the person commissioned to make that programme,

requests, for reasons specified by him or her, for Coimisiún na Meán to afford to him or her an opportunity to comment on the complaint, Coimisiún na Meán shall, having considered the reasons so specified, afford to the person 7 days or such further period as Coimisiún na Meán allows to comment on the complaint if, but only if, they are satisfied that, as appropriate—

(i) an interest of the person referred to in paragraph (a),being an interest which Coimisiún na Meán consider relevant to the person’s employment by the broadcaster concerned, or
(ii) the prospects of the person referred to in paragraph (b) obtaining further commissions in respect of programmes from the broadcaster concerned,may, because of the complaint, be adversely affected.
