Foals have told their fans to “watch this space” after starting a countdown on their social media which is due to finish today. Fan speculation has kicked off as to what the announcement could be.
The much-anticipated follow-up to the Oxford band’s fourth studio record ‘What Went Down’ was expected to arrive later this year. However, it now seems that a major announcement by the group is to be made today, Wednesday, January 9th.
Posting on their Instagram Story, a countdown called “watch this space” is presently counting down and is set to finish at 3pm today. Checkout a screenshot of the countdown below.

The NME speculates that it remains unknown if the countdown will end with just an announcement of or release of new music.
