Young Woman Fatally Injured In Collison In Tipperary

A young woman has been killed when her car collided with a tree earlier this morning.

According to the Independent, the single vehicle collision happened on the N24 at Ballydrehid, Cahir, Co Tipperary this morning at 8.30am.

The female driver of the car, aged 19, died when her car struck a tree. Her body was brought to University Hospital Waterford, where a post mortem is to take place.

The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place while Garda forensic collision investigators are examining the crash site.
