Over €500,000 worth of luxury goods that were seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) are being auctioned off to the public this weekend.
The items include Rolex watches, a gold bar, and Louis Vuitton handbags as well as Gucci and Cartier goods.
Under the Proceeds of Crime Act, 1996 to 2016, CAB can freeze and seize assets which it shows to the High Court are the proceeds of criminal conduct.
Gardaí say all items are fully authenticated and the net proceeds of the auction will be returned to the Exchequer.
A Rolex is more than just a watch; it’s a statement.
