Dubliners will today get a chance to see the largest cruise ship to ever call to Ireland. The MSC Meraviglia is the fifth largest ship in the world. She’s in Dublin today before heading on to Cork.
MSC Meraviglia is the largest ship by passenger capacity to dock in Dublin. The ship is capable of carrying twice the number of guests as the 317m Celebrity Eclipse. The Eclipse has been docked in the city from April and will stay there until June this year.
It is the world’s fifth largest cruise ship at 171,598 gross registered tonnes (GRT). That ranks it just after Royal Caribbean’s Oasis-class vessels.
