Gardaí have begun an investigation after a man was allegedly the subject of an apparent sexual assault in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Monday morning.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident, which is understood to have happened on Princess Street, near the GPO.
According to the Sunday World, the victim, in his 20s, was allegedly approached by two men who forced him to carry out a sex act on one of them.
The incident was stopped quickly when gardai on patrol reportedly came upon the scene. It is understood that the victim was walking home after socialising in the city.
A grada spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault that is reported to have occurred in the Dublin 1 area of Dublin in the early hours of Monday, 9th August, 2021.
“Two males have been arrested as part of this investigation and are currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.”
