People considering botox and other beauty treatments are being warned to do their research.
Helped by celebrity endorsements, the popularity of botox has increased dramatically in recent years because of its ability to smooth out wrinkles.
UK retailer Superdrug are the latest company to provide the service.
Plastic surgeon, Jim, Glover, says it’s important to make sure those carrying it out are qualified:
“When you look at having procedures done on the high street – that may give the impression that this is a procedure that you can pop in and pop out of… and I suppose really the thing to stress to people is really is that the person delivering the treatment must be trained to the appropriate standard and has the experience and the backup that would you hope.”
