JULY

Come down to the Forbidden Paw Festival on the 27th of July at Corkagh Park, organised by Husky Rescue Ireland. This event promises a fun-filled day for the whole family, including your furry friends!

Enjoy a variety of family fun activities including giant sized games, bouncy castles, a fitness zone and a fabulous market.

All funds raised on the day will go towards supporting the gorgeous dogs in Husky Rescue Ireland’s care.

The 11th Boyne Music Festival will take place 25th – 28th of July 2024.

A highlight of the summer arts calendar in the Boyne Valley. This summer’s festival programme will include concerts, talks, tours and more in three distinct locations: Townley Hall, Slane Castle and Boann Distillery. Barnardos Big Toddle Family Funday, in partnership with The Irish Sun, takes place on Sunday 7th July in the beautiful Airfield Estate, Dundrum from 1pm-4pm.

Dublin City Council is delighted to announce that the Ballyfermot Cherry Orchard Arts Festival 2024 will take place from July 7th-14th.

It will be 8 days of art, culture and fun-filled activities, with each day serving up the best of what the community of Ballyfermot and Cherry Orchard has to offer.

The Docklands 5k race will take place on Thursday, July 11th! Organised by the runners from Crusaders Athletic Club, the 5k run is a fast flat route around Dublin’s Docklands

All proceeds will be used to improve the facilities of Crusaders Athletic Club and to promote sport, health and wellbeing in the local community.

The race starts at 7:45pm and entry is open to runners of all abilities either as individual participants or in teams of 3.

The Irish Cancer Society’s Colour Dash will take place in Phoenix Park, Dublin on Sunday June 30th at,9.30am sharp. Come rain or shine, join thousands of enthusiastic runners and inject some colour into your summer! Participants run, walk or jog a 5k route marked out within the Phoenix Park. Throughout the Colour Dash you will be showered with coloured powder paint. Sign up today, get active and join the most fun (and colourful!) 5k in Ireland!

All donations will go to the Irish Cancer Society to fund groundbreaking cancer research, trials, and crucial, free support services for children and young adults affected by cancer, throughout Ireland.

 

 

The Kevin Quinn Foundation is holding a charity football match on the 29th of June at the Cathal Brugha Barracks in Dublin! The game will be held in memory of Kevin Quinn who sadly passed away from gastric cancer.

Irish Famine Exhibition, runs from Tuesday 2nd April – Saturday 28th September

The Irish Potato Famine was the most catastrophic event in Ireland’s turbulent history.

This Exhibition tells the story of what happened during those horrific years. We use rare 19th century photographs, witness accounts, contemporary sketches as well as maps and statistical information
