10 Year Old Boy Dies After Road Collision

A 10 year old boy who was critically injured in a bike accident in Carlow yesterday has died.

It is understood the young boy was cycling with two friends when he was hit by a jeep and horse-box in the Ballymartin area on the Borris to Fenagh road at around 1.30pm.

The boy was airlifted from the scene to Temple Street Children’s Hospital but has since passed away from his injuries.

The driver of the jeep, a local man from the area, was uninjured but is deeply shocked
