The children were all part of family groups, with 30 men and four women also removed from the State bound for Georgia.  A chartered flight left Dublin Airport yesterday evening with the people on board.

Gardai have shared images from the operation which show garda vans arriving at Dublin Airport.  Another image shows a man being escorted onto the flight by gardai.

A garda spokesman said: "Yesterday, Wednesday 30th April 2025, the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) of An Garda Síochána carried out an operation removing individuals from the State.

The operation resulted in the removal of 39 individuals (30 males and 4 females and 5 children). The children removed are all part of family groups.

"All individuals were removed on a chartered flight which left Dublin Airport yesterday evening, Wednesday 30th April 2025, for Georgia.

An Garda Síochána continues to work closely with the Department of Justice in implementing immigration policy."
