Radio Nova is a regional radio station, licensed by Coimisiún na Meán (formerly the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland) to broadcast to Dublin City, County & Commuter Belt on FM and to 85% of Ireland on DAB+. The defined commuter belt covers the counties of Dublin, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow, taking in one of the most affluent, upwardly mobile, parts of Ireland. Being a regional radio service, rather than a Dublin-only one, we are classified differently to Dublin radio services and offer enhanced value to advertisers.
Our DAB+ coverage, commenced in May 2026, takes a wide area including Cork, Limerick, Galway, the North & South Midlands, Waterford, the North East and South East.

We Cover the Population of the Dublin Commuter Belt on FM and are quasi-national on DAB+.
The Dublin Commuter Belt is an extensive area around Dublin that takes in the counties of Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, including the towns of Bray, Greystones, Blessington, Naas, Newbridge, Clane, Kilcock, Leixlip, Celbridge, Trim, Dunboyne, Dunshaughlin, Drogheda and Dundalk. As of 2023,
Radio Nova is the only Dublin-based radio service that has the Commuter Belt included in its catchment area as awarded by Coimisiún na Meán. As such, Radio Nova delivers an additional 30% in broadcast area over and above Dublin-based radio services.
In addition, Radio Nova now broadcasts to 85% of the population of Ireland on DAB+, bringing a crystal clear signal across Ireland on both FM and DAB.
