9 Year Old Girl Rushed To Hospital After Being Struck By Tree In Cork

A 9-year-old girl has been rushed to a hospital in Cork after receiving injuries when she was struck by a falling tree during Storm Deirdre.

The young girl believed to be nine years old was hit by the detached limb of a tree in the Cork Harbour area around 5 pm on Saturday evening. Paramedics rushed to the scene in the Blackrock area of Cork, and the little girl was taken to Cork University Hospital.

According to The Independent, the child was cycling her bike when she was reportedly struck by the falling tree limb. The exact condition of the girl is not yet known but the injuries are not meant to be life-threatening.

Cork suffered badly at the hands of Storm Deirdre yesterday where winds gusted close to 120km/h.
