After August swung from scorching heatwaves to full-on washouts, September looks set to continue the drama. Expect blustery winds, low-pressure systems from the Atlantic, and plenty of rain. Some dry spells might pop up, but expect mostly a damp gray sky. Even when the sun decides to make a cameo, it’ll be brief, leaving you wondering if it was ever really there.
Week 1 (1–7 Sept): Wettest in the southwest, west, and northwest. Average Temperatures.
Week 2 (8–14 Sept): Slightly drier, maybe some rare sunny breaks. But it's still Ireland in September, so don't get your hopes up.
Week 3 (15–21 Sept): Uncertain, but still mostly disappointing. Rain around average, highs slightly above normal.
