Netflix has announced that filming has begun in and around South Dublin for Grown Ups, an eight-part drama series based on the best-selling novel by Marian Keyes.
Set firmly in the heart of South Dublin, Grown Ups follows the chaotic lives of the Caseys, a close-knit Irish family bound together by loyalty, resentment, money, memory, and love. When the family’s “good son” dies unexpectedly, it triggers a profound emotional reckoning that will see the Caseys navigating love, grief, old wounds, and new challenges over the course of the series.
Adding to the local appeal, the show features a stellar all-Irish cast, bringing familiar faces from popular dramas to the streets of Dublin. Sarah Greene, known for her work in Bad Sisters and Normal People, stars as Jessie, while Barry Ward (Bad Sisters) takes on the role of Johnny.
