Jerry Flannery's family of five scrubbed up well for his middle son's Communion day.

The Galway man, 47, is a former rugby union player, having played for Munster and Ireland before being forced to retire in March 2012 due to injury. He's now the current defence coach for South Africa.

But his family ties are always in Ireland, and that's exactly where they celebrated Ezra, nine, on his big day.

'Communion 2026, the boys looking sharp,' the former rugby union player wrote on Tuesday.

Jerry and Katy will soon be approaching their fourth wedding anniversary, after tying the knot on July 22, 2022. The couple appear to have included the entire family in their honeymoon as they holidayed with their little ones in tow.
