Met Éireann have forecasted unsettled weather, including wind and rain for this weekend.

Temperatures are expected to remain high over the weekend with temperatures reaching up to 20C.

Tonight will be wet as heavy outbreaks of rain will travel northwards, and heavier falls of rain pushing into southwest areas.

Met Éireann expect that Friday will start off wet with “rain in all areas” before gradually clearing.

Conditions will improve on Saturday as the forecaster expects it to be mostly dry and “just the chance of an odd light shower." Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees are forecast for the day.

On Sunday, wet conditions are expected to return, with rainfall mainly affecting western coastal counties. Temperatures are expected to range between 18-22 degrees.

The forecaster expects Monday to be wet and warm with showers or longer spells of rain expected to extend eastward to “all areas”.

Met Éireann has issued a yellow rain warning for Cork and Kerry, and has warned that some areas may experience spot flooding. The weather alert is valid from 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 18 until 12:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2026. Commuters are advised to take extra caution.

Met Éireann admits that there is still uncertainty with the forecast, however there will be some rain at times and accumulations will generally be small. Temperatures will reach the high teen-low twenties.
