The world's top cities for a night out have been revealed, with Dublin being left out of the ranking.
While the Irish capital was nowhere near the top 20, a UK destination made it!
According to Time Out, Brighton is the best city to go on a night out in the UK and the eighth-best in the world.
Brighton, UK
The publication highlighted the city's strong LGBTQ+ nightlife scene and sense of community.
“Brighton’s legacy as the home of the UK’s LGBTQ+ nightlife scene continues to thrive."
According to Tripadvisor, one of the best spots to head to in the city is Maggie Mae’s, which opened in 2014 and describes itself as “one of Brighton’s busiest and most loved venues”.
Time Out says Brighton has “everything you could ask for, from the pokey street-side bars to the mega clubs and the 360-degree rooftop bars to the wild LGBTQ+ party pads”.
Bangkok, Thailand
Brighton was beaten by cities across Asia, Europe, North and South America, Africa and Australia, with Bangkok taking the number one spot.
Berlin came second, followed by New York City, Melbourne and São Paulo.

Despite Dublin being a notable destination for a night-out, especially for tourists, Time Out chose not to include the Irish capital - or any other Irish town for that matter - in the top 20.
Snub or fair decision, it's safe to say Dublin will always be appreciated by locals and visitors alike for its lively pubs and growing music scene.
