Gardaí are appealing for information as they continue to investigate a fatal hit-and-run in Clonlara, Co Clare.

Sixteen-year-old Bryan Lowe died after being found seriously injured on the L3050 at Cottage Cross on Friday.

The teenager had been travelling on a scrambler bike when the incident occurred. Emergency services attended, but Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are now trying to trace the occupants of a Skoda Octavia which they believe may have information relevant to the investigation.

Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was travelling in the Clonlara area of Clare or around Castleconnell in Co Limerick between 6pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday.

They are also asking motorists who were in the area during that period to check whether they have dashcam or other camera footage that could assist the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Henry Garda Station on 061 212400.

Information can also be provided through the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or at any Garda station.

The investigation remains ongoing.
